Short-term rentals in London

There are often situations, when arriving in London, where you might need some short-term accommodation before you commit to a tenancy agreement. Maybe you’ve accepted a job but have nowhere to live, or maybe you don’t have a job either, but need a roof over your head whilst you look for employment, flatmates and accommodation of a more permanent nature.

Luckily there are options that can fit most people’s budgets. If you really don’t have much money to spare at all, then you might want to opt for a hostel. If you’re prepared to share a dorm room, you can get somewhere for around £12 per night, which will grant you access to a bed with linen, laundry facilities, hot showers, luggage storage, 24hr common room and various optional extras such as towels for hire. If you don’t want to stay in a dorm room and have a bit more money to spare, then you do a lot worse than renting a short-term studio apartment. Accommodation London operates over 300 studios, in transport zone 2 of London at very affordable prices. If you’re willing to share in a twin or double studio, this will set you back £35 per night for a 4-6 night stay. A triple share is as little as £20 per person, per night. The cost decreases the longer you stay. All apartments are open-plan and fully furnished (toaster, kettle, pots & pans, cooker, fridge, wardrobes and colour TV) and offer new italian kitchens, wooden floors, power shower with separate W/C, security intercom and fire alarm and smoke detectors. The location of these apartments is in north-west London,  in the vicinity of either Queen’s Park, W9 or Willesden Green, NW2 – both of which have fantastic transport links into central London.

Finally, for those with lots of cash to splash, you can’t go far wrong if you check out Oakwood apartments on Vine Street in the city. A temporary apartment here will set you back £135 per night. However, they do offer deluxe furnishings such as a dishwasher, wireless internet and washer/dryer. The apartments are also in the vicinity of the River Thames, the beautiful St. Katharines Docks, the Tower of London and the Tate Modern Gallery.
